You are purchasing a limited-edition Fleischer Superman cel titled, "Superman Saves Lois Lane." This cel was created as a limited edition in 1996 numbered 093/500 and is signed by animator Myron Waldman. Cel comes professionally framed and double-matted with a red inner-mat, blue outer-mat, and a black wooden frame. Framed cel and frame look outstanding! Image is in great shape. Colors are bright and unfaded. A wonderful addition to any comic or animation art collection alike!

This 16-field limited edition hand-painted cel and matching drawing is entitled "Superman Saves Lois". Hand-painted cel from a limited edition produced by Tooniversal, 1996 DC Comics. Cel has been professionally matted and framed. Cel depicts Superman saving Lois Lane from falling lava as depicted in the 1942 Fleischer Studios "Volcano" cartoon. The colors are vivid and jump to life, and the scene is one of the best that could be picked. This limited-edition cel was created using the same methods that are used in preparing actual production cels. Lower left has gold seal of Fleischer Studios. Mint condition as framed and ready for display.

Fleischer Superman cartoons are considered to be some of the greatest animation ever made. This cell is hand signed by Fleischer Studios chief animator Myron Waldman. Waldman was instrumental in the creation of cartoons at the studio. Including Betty Boop, Popeye and Superman. Cel, Cell, Celluloid. Hand painted.

Cel is all hand painted and hand-inked. DC Comics and Fleischer Studios Logo embossed onto the cel. Numbered 93/500.

Myron Waldman (April 23, 1908 – February 4, 2006) was an American animator, best known for his work at Fleischer Studios.  At Fleischer he worked on Betty Boop, Raggedy Ann, Gulliver's Travels, the animated adaptations of Superman, and Popeye. He was head animator on two Academy Award-nominated shorts, Educated Fish (1937) and Hunky and Spunky (1939).

Waldman made the transition when Fleischer Studios was acquired by Paramount Pictures and reorganized as Famous Studios in 1942. At Famous he worked mostly on the Casper the Friendly Ghost series. In 1958 he left Famous to become an animation director at Hal Seeger Productions where he worked on the revival of the Out of the Inkwell series, as well as Milton the Monster, until his retirement in 1968.

Fleischer Superman: The Fleischer Superman cartoons are a series of seventeen animated short films released in Technicolor by Paramount Pictures and based upon the comic book character Superman, making them his first animated appearance.
