Semiquincentennial Quarters 2026 Bags - Revolutionary War - Denver (D)

In observance of the 2026 Semiquincentennial, marking 250 years since the founding of the United States of America, the U.S. Mint will release five new quarters commemorating the Nation's history. The second quarter in this series—the Revolutionary War quarter—honors the determination and resilience demonstrated during the pursuit of liberty throughout the conflict.

Each 100-coin bag contains circulating-quality coins produced by the United States Mint facility in Denver. For the duration of one year, the U.S. Mint is celebrating the Semiquincentennial with special coins and medals, as well as updates to the designs of most circulating coinage. These items pay tribute to 250 years of American Liberty, embodying the founding principles and acknowledging the country’s historical narrative.

The Revolutionary War quarter features, on its obverse, George Washington, the first President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the war. Inscriptions include “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “1776 ~ 2026.”

The reverse depicts a Continental Army soldier at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. This image reflects the hardships endured by Washington’s troops following their defeat at the Battle of Brandywine and the severe conditions experienced during the winter encampment of 1777–1778. With independence declared the previous July, the Second Continental Congress temporarily evacuated Philadelphia to avoid a British offensive. The soldier’s determined expression symbolizes the perseverance required to pursue liberty. The reverse inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “LIBERTY,” “25¢,” and “REVOLUTIONARY WAR.”
