2025 (P) $1 American Silver Eagle First Eagle Privy Releases One of First 50,000 NGC MS69

The American Silver Eagle is a popular coin made of 1 Troy oz of .999 fine silver, authorized by the Liberty Coin Act of 1985 and first produced in 1986. In 2021, the U.S. Mint updated its design. The obverse, inspired by Adolph A. Weinman’s 1916 “Walking Liberty” half dollar, now closely reflects the original with an added artist's mark. The reverse changed from John Mercanti’s heraldic eagle design to Emily Damstra’s “Eagle Landing,” featuring an eagle carrying an oak branch to a nest.
