2025 (P) $1 American Silver Eagle First Eagle Privy Releases One of First 50,000 GEM BU

The American Silver Eagle is a popular coin worldwide. Authorized by the Liberty Coin Act of 1985, it began production in 1986. In 2021, the U.S. Mint redesigned this 1 Troy oz silver coin. The obverse now closely reflects Adolph A. Weinman’s original “Walking Liberty” design with an added artist's mark. The reverse, formerly featuring John Mercanti's heraldic eagle, now shows Emily Damstra's "Eagle Landing" design - a bald eagle landing with an oak branch.
