The United States Mint produced the Morgan Silver Dollar from 1878 to 1904 and again in 1921. This coin was used during the period of American westward expansion, industrialization, and increasing international presence. Morgan Silver Dollars are widely collected and recognized among numismatists.
This Uncirculated Morgan Silver Dollar contains 99.9% fine silver and is delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
Mint Chief Engraver George T. Morgan (1845–1925) designed the Morgan Dollar, and it was minted between 1878 and 1904, as well as in 1921. The design reflects themes of westward expansion and industrial development in late 19th-century America. Produced using current technology and historical resources from the U.S. Mint, this Morgan Dollar features an uncirculated finish.
The obverse displays a profile of Liberty with a cap, flora, and a crown bearing the word "LIBERTY," surrounded by 13 stars, “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and the year of issue. The reverse depicts an eagle with outstretched wings holding arrows and an olive branch, accompanied by a wreath. The inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “ONE DOLLAR.”
The coin is encapsulated and presented in a clamshell case inside a black box featuring the United States Mint seal. The outer sleeve includes an image of the coin's obverse design. The coin also comes with a certificate of authenticity displaying the obverse image.
