The United States Mint American Innovation $1 Coin Program is a multi-year series recognising innovation and innovators with $1 coins from each state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Northern Mariana Islands. The American Innovation $1 Coins in the rolls and bags were minted at the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. The Florida coin is the third of 2025.
The Florida American Innovation $1 Coin reverse (tails) design displays an image of a NASA space shuttle launching from Launch Complex 39 at Florida’s Kennedy Space Center. Smoke from the solid rocket boosters occupies the lower edges of the design with stars in the background. Included inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “FLORIDA.”
The obverse (heads) design depicts the Statue of Liberty in profile with the inscriptions “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “$1.” The design also includes a privy mark of a stylized gear, symbolizing industry and innovation.
This American Innovation $1 Coin Roll – Florida contains 25 circulating quality coins minted at the Philadelphia Mint.
The year of minting, mint mark, and “E PLURIBUS UNUM” are incused on the edge of the coins.
