The 2025 set features designs as follows:
The common obverse (front) depicts a bold image of the Statue of Liberty, inscribed with “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “$1.” Designed by Justin Kunz, it also features a stylized gear symbolizing industry and innovation. Edge inscriptions include “2025,” “S” mint mark, and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
Arkansas: Shows Raye Montague envisioning an Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate she designed via computer technology. The background grid reflects her innovative engineering methods. Inscriptions read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ARKANSAS,” and “RAYE MONTAGUE.”
Montague began her career in the Navy as a typist in 1956, pursued night classes in programming, and became a systems analyst. Tasked with designing a naval ship using computers, she accomplished her first design in just under 19 hours. Her achievements earned her the Civilian Service Award in 1972.
Michigan: Features a 1930s assembly line where workers install a car cab. Inscribed with “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “MICHIGAN,” and “AUTO ASSEMBLY LINE.”
Michigan transformed auto manufacturing, starting with Olds Motor Vehicle Company’s stationary line in 1901. Henry Ford later developed the moving assembly line in 1913, enabling full automobile production in just over 90 minutes—a game changer for the industry.
Florida: Depicts a NASA space shuttle launching from Kennedy Space Center, with smoke billowing and stars twinkling above. Inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “FLORIDA.”
NASA's Space Shuttle Program ran from 1972 to 2011, launching 135 missions from Florida and supporting satellite repairs and the International Space Station’s construction. Shuttles like Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour carried 852 people into space, inspiring generations.
Texas: Illustrates an astronaut performing a spacewalk outside the International Space Station, symbolizing support from Houston’s Mission Control Center. Inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “TEXAS.”
Houston’s Mission Control manages real-time flight operations for NASA and supports astronauts worldwide, ensuring missions succeed around the clock and guiding daily activities aboard the ISS.
