2020 - US Mint Birth Set

The 2020 United States Mint Birth Set is an ideal gift for the arrival of a baby in 2020. It includes these proof coins, each bearing the “S” mint mark of the United States Mint at San Francisco:

• National Park of American Samoa quarter from the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program
• Roosevelt dime

The presentation folder includes space to provide your personalized message and a place for the baby’s vital statistics—the date and time of birth, length, and weight. There is also a photo frame area to hold a 3” x 5” photo. A Certificate of Authenticity is located on the back of the folder, and coin specifications are printed on the sleeve.

This is the ninth year the Birth Set has been issued by the United States Mint.

United States Mint proof coins feature sharp relief and a mirror-like background. Their frosted, sculpted foregrounds give them a special cameo effect. Proof blanks are specially treated, polished, and cleaned to ensure high-quality strikes. The blanks are then fed into presses fitted with specially polished dies and struck at least twice to ensure sharp relief.
