The 2015 US Marshals Service Silver Dollar commemorates the 225th anniversary of the first federal law enforcement agency. Designed by Richard Masters and engraved by Charles Vickers, the obverse shows the US Marshals Service Star with Marshals on horseback, inscribed with “Liberty”, "1789-2014", "In God We Trust", and “2015”.
The reverse, designed by Frank Morris and engraved by Joseph Menna, depicts a frontier U.S. Marshal holding a "wanted" poster, symbolizing their role in American history. It includes "Justice, Integrity, Service", "E Pluribus Unum", "United States of America", and "$1".
The maximum mintage was 500,000 coins, but only 124,329 proofs and 38,149 uncirculated coins were sold.
